[Strata Subdivisions]


The Strata Titles Act was designed to simplify the group ownership and management of buildings and common facilities.

Prior to the commencement of the Strata Titles Act extremely complicated methods had to be used such as Company title or tenancy in common schemes to enable people to purchase into home unit developments.

When you purchase a Strata Title lot you generally own the cubic space inside the perimeter walls, floors and ceilings as shown on the registered Strata Plan, with any land not being part of a lot being common property by default.

An owners corporation is created to manage common property and levy certain utility and Council rates.

Our firm has substantial expertise in the planning and preparation of Strata Plans from simple 2 lot townhouse schemes right through to multi stage high rise developments involving hundreds of lots.
